Cabbage Patch Girl Dolls

Little girls=dolls! Cabbage Patch Dolls have remained popular with little girls because the dolls are easy to hold and big enough to seem like a real baby or child. The dolls really got a boast in popularity when they were written about in Newsweek, The Atlanta Weekly, and The Wall Street Journal back in 1981.

Cabbage Patch Kids were introduced to the public in 1983 at the NYC International Toy Fair. October of that year, riots occurred in stores around the country with parents vying for dolls to give at Christmas time. The dolls even made the cover of Newsweek!

One of the amazing things about the Cabbage Patch phenomenon is that adults seemed to like to dolls, too. There are girl dolls with various ethnic looks—African American, Asian, Caucasian, and Hispanic. You can find girl bald baby dolls, dolls with various colored hair, and even twin girl 'Kids'.
